Treasure Seeker is a tile-matching game. On a deserted island, the player seeks treasures from hidden chests and washed-up shipwrecks along a stone path through the jungle. They also attempt to earn three stars per level.
The player receives their tasks on a left-side panel and a running count of their limited number of moves on a hanging sign above it. On a right panel they receive boosters they can use to collect the task items faster.
The game requires the player to align three or more pirate-themed objects on a floating panel, including bags of diamonds, green rum bottles, pirate captain hats, skull-marked cannonball bombs, and wooden chests. The player collects these items by aligning three or more matching pieces with one move.
Treasure Seeker provides an extremely limited number of moves, which is a huge obstacle. If the player runs out of moves, they're not offered any chance to continue by completing a specific action like viewing an advertisement. Instead, they must replay the level.
Boosters are available, including a lightning bolt that removes a horizontal line of mixed items and a rocket that removes a vertical one. That said, the player makes the most headway with their collection tasks by creating lines of four or more matching items. With each longer line, they collect more items with a single move.
